Brain-Centered Horsemanship™ is the understanding of how the human and horse brain naturally learns and processes information. Centered around basic principles grounded in science,
brain-centered horsemanship is a guide for better decision making and sound practices in horse keeping.
Brain-Centered Horsemanship™ (BCH) is an innovative approach to training and working with horses. It is within this utilization and understanding of the basic brain principles that provide remarkable results and builds a more meaningful relationship between horse and human.
Brain-Centered Horsemanship is not a "one size fits all" program for equestrians to follow, because there is no such thing. If someone tells you there is, they are misleading you. There is not yet a perfect model to follow, but BCH is a solid guide to understanding yourself and your horse at a completely different level.
What does a Brain-Centered Horseman do?
THEY TRAIN WITH THE BRAIN IN MIND.
This horseman understands the principles and uses training techniques in a deliberate way. This journey is all about a horseman understanding the reasoning behind their training. It is also one who stays constantly updated through continuous education.
Keep in mind, BCH is not any one single thing we do, but more of a continual, purposeful blend of mind, body, behavior, environment, nutrition, and training techniques that make it all work.
One of the best ways to learn about Brain-Centered Horsemanship is to attend one of Ms. Currie's clinics. By attending, you will get to see, hear and experience the actual brain-compatible techniques in action. This allows you to see HOW to do it as well as how it dramatically influences horses' behavior and attitudes.
