Thank you for your interest in hosting a Horse of a Different Color clinic. We would be happy to come to your facility and present a brain-based horsemanship clinic. Participants and auditors will learn brain-based principles and ‘teaching techniques’ that work with the horse’s and rider’s natural instincts.
Our clinics are suitable for all levels and disciplines. Participants will gain better insight into the 4C's - Cognition (how we learn), Connection, Communication and Conditioning.
Flat Rate: A flat rate of $1500 for an 8-hour day of group lessons, lectures, and demonstrations will be collected directly through the Horse of a Different Color (HDC) website.
10 participants @ $150 horse/rider combo = $1500
6 auditors @ $45 each = $270
$1500 + $270 = $1770 total collected
$.60 per mile X 120 miles = $72mileage paid
$1770 (total collected) - $1500 (flat rate) - $72 (mileage) = $198 to host
*** However, if the amount of paid attendees does not total the above listed amount, clinic host is responsible for the remainder of the fee, payable the day of the clinic.
Deposit: Nonrefundable $100 deposit is required in order to confirm a date and promote the event on our webpage, Facebook page, and other advertising promotions. We start promoting DAY ONE. Deposit and signed clinic agreement due 90 days prior to the clinic date. (Deposit is deducted from the total amount due at the conclusion of the clinic.)
Accommodations and Travel:
Because a flat fee is directly paid to Jennifer for the clinic, the host can charge attendees what they feel is suitable. $100-$150 per horse/rider is suggested, depending on your area, and $35-$50 for auditing.
Event Cancellation Policy:
The clinic/event host agrees to provide clinician with a 90-day notice of event cancellation for events requiring air travel and a 60-day notice of cancellation for the events requiring travel by truck. If the event is cancelled after air travel is purchased the host shall reimburse the clinician any fees incurred for cancelling the flight.
Should the clinic need to be canceled or postponed by Horse of a Different Color due to weather, travel restrictions, or other unforeseeable events your deposit will be transferred towards the make-up date or can be applied to another available clinic within the same calendar year.
Participant Cancellation Policy:
All clinic spots must be paid in full when registering. If a participant must cancel, they may notify us anytime up to 30 days prior to the event date to receive a complete refund minus the processing charges. Notification up to 14 days prior to the scheduled clinic will receive a refund of half the clinic fee minus the processing fees. Any cancellation after the 14-day period is non-refundable.
